Banana Oat Chocolate Chip Cookies

I know that was a mouthful for a title of a recipe, but I just don’t know how else to describe them… Unless I called them “Awesome Cookies.”

I’ll just tell you – people liked them and I liked them. What more do you need to know?

Banana Oat Chocolate Chip Cookies!
[Adapted from Skinny Taste]

  • 1 C whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 scoop protein powder (I used vanilla)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 C oats
  • 2 T unsalted room-temp butter
  • 1/2 C Splenda (or other sugar substitute, or you can simply use good ‘ole sugar!)
  • 1/4 C brown sugar (or brown sug substitute)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 banana
  • 1-2 C dark chocolate chips
Do this: preheat oven to 350. Mix dry ingredients (flour – oats) and set aside. In a large bowl with a mixer, or in a food processor,  mix sugars and butter. Add egg, vanilla, banana. Pour wet ingredietns into dry and stir in chocolate chips. 
Bake for about 10-12 minutes (mine took 11 minutes). 
Yields about 2 dozen cookies.
